"I wanna be an one millionaire..so friggin' bad"
Hey Folks,
Ok so I'm going to start off by stating that my keyboard has no letter "e" key on the keyboard. So my post is going to take a bit longer than the average to type up as I will have to press quite hard on the pad (that's what she said?) to get the 'e' to come out.
Anyway, I have not done one of these in a very long time. In fact, I forgot what my username was when signing in. A lot has changed since my last post. First of all, its a new year. 2009 to 2010. The World Cup of soccer has been determined. Spain has conquered that mountain. James Cameron introduced us to a new world no one believe could exist, where 6 foot blue people have sex with ponytails. Pandora. Lindsay Lohan got sentenced to jail. Albeit for probably only 28 days. All these things have happen since my last blog.
But the topic I would like to talk about today. Money. Money is what the world is fueled by. As much as people hate it. Money = Happiness. Think about it. Money is what we all crave, it is what we work for. We need money to sustain life. We need it for shelter. food. entertainment. health care (if I lived in the states). How did it come to this? when did society become so self absorbed about money taking over life?
I'm not a cynic.
I'm just another one of the millions who wishes they won the million in the lottery. Things have not been panning out for me financially lately. And with my 21st birthday coming up. Life suddenly seems like it needs goals and aspirations.
I remember my 20th birthday. I thought things were so easy. I just finished my teenage years. University didn't seem like the money grabbing institution, that I think it is now. My life was full of friends and family (not saying its not now). But money. though I wasn't wealthy. Was sustainable (in my terms).
Now it isn't. 12 hours of minimum part-time work a week isn't really cutting it.
I see all these TV shows about the rich and famous. All these things about people having multi-million dollar jewelery. Multi-million houses. Celebrities wasting their money away. Nicolas Cage, was quoted saying he's going to focus on children's movies from now on. Um, the correct answer? He wants to focus on making the moneyy!
Ben Stiller, Brenden Frasier, Adam Sandler < -- successful actors in the children genre of movies, also mega wealthy!
Nicolas Cage? hmm not the most friendly looking man for children movies.
There are even songs about people wishing they were a billionaire.........so friggin' bad. :)
I just wish for One. One Million. I wanna be an one millionaire, so friggin' bad.
Someone want to loan me that? I'll put it to good use. I swear. I won't waste it on a party. I won't waste it on bling. cars. a house. I will continue to work my part time job. I just need a starting point in life. Because 15 years from now. I'm 36. Hopefully married. 2 kids (older girl, younger boy..I had a talk today with someone from my work about how its the ideal 2 sibling combo..but that's another post) Also. 15 years from now. One million = $500 000 of 2010
so, conclusion:
$500 000 saved. I'm happy :)
Therefore,
Money = Happiness
makes sense?
I know this post had no purpose really. I just wanted to occupy my time this Saturday night :)
enjoy

This song is stuck in my head!
Thank you Avni.
Anyways, Since I'm awake anyways maybe i can do a REAL post not like those cheap short
ones I've been posting recently. My best writing tends to be late at night anyways.
So I got myself a new iPhone. I LOVE it! It's seriously the best invention of the decade. There
are soo many capabilities this phone can do that would put our parent's old cord phone, it
probably even has more capabilities than the average computer in an office building
(Yes, Aviva Insurance I'm talking about you)
(Yes, Aviva Insurance I'm talking about you)
First, It is touch screen. (WIN)
Yes, there are people in the world who believe that touch screens are annoying, I thought I
was one of those people, when I was in the whole Blackberry or iPhone debate, and don't
get me wrong, there are days when I wish it wasn't touch screen because the slightest touch
can trigger something.
A cool thing though, Apple figured a way to ONLY be able to distinguish fingers touching the
screen, and nothing else. Wearing a glove? I'm sorry, you will need to take it off to use this
exceptional piece of technology.
Another thing, If you hold the home button long enough. It turns to this new feature called
voice control. I dont know HOW useful it is, but its pretty awesome. All i have to say, is (Call
Aimen Khan) and the phone replies back (calling Amy Khan)...yes i didn't miss spell it, my
phone is OBVIOUSLY not used to brown names. (just try saying Gauthamie Poolokasingham)
Anyways. the texting is also 100 times better than anything I have ever used in my life!!
Favourite part of the phone, the texting conversations that go on and on and on for months
and months. You will never have to worry about forgetting what you said to that person ever
again!
Ummm what else can I chat about now....oh this song. I know it's no Sean Kingston, Fire
Burning on the Dancefloor. (that is OBVIOUSLY a instant classic) lol
But it's quite catchy, even if you don't know what they are sayin'
My friend translated a part of it, something about my love is hard and I can't love anymore.
blah blah blah. Typical Bollywood stuff. isn't every song about that?
In fact, I have 40 bollywood songs on my ipod feature on YES my iPhone :)
They range from party like this:
Mauja Hi Mauja - Jab We Met
Old School:
Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast - Mohra
New School:
Jai Ho - Slumdog Millionaire
And for Lovers...:
Dekha Tujhe To - Koyla
What's your favourite Bollywood song?
The culture that is sweeping the nation.....however, don't you love the dancing from the past?
Ehem (Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast)...Oh Akshay. The funny thing was that back in the day when
this whole concept of the song was created. you know there were people choreographing this
song and saying "oh pelvic thrusts and stomping jumping. best dancing best yaar, all
cool kids doing it these days, Akshay. trust me yaar" Can't you picture it? And I never saw the
movie. But someone want to explain to me who the random scientist looking dude is?
Now do you want to see some good dancing?
everytime I heard about good bollywood dancing. It needs to be compared to this song:
Nimbooda - hum dil de chuke sanam
Agree? Disagree?
or maybe this is your fancy:
Lajja - Badi Mushkil
Check out her hips how they just sway. back and forth. ridiculous eh? Is it wrong that she is around 50 and she's still a knockout?
Ok folks. I think this was enough Bollywood for one night. I think I might continue this. It's fun, and it gives me some more topics to branch about. The craze sweeping the bollywood music industry, English words mixed with hindi. And we say we AREN'T globalized yet! please.
I'll save that topic for another day. Time to hit the bed, well. not really hit it. Just lay peacefully, and rest my head on the pillows. Peace out homies.

New posting.
So I haven't posted in a while.
Not sure what I really want to post today.
so I'll post random fact i find on the interweb.
Odontophobia is the fear of teeth.
Women are 37% more likely to go to a psychiatrist than men are
The average person makes about 1,140 telephone calls each year.
i can't seem to find interesting things to post.
life is quite boring right now.
school is dominating my life, study, study, and more studying and i feel like it might not be going anywhere anyways.
As for The Game, It might have been retired. Sadly. It was a good try, but not really.
I'll post more when I get time, but i'm feeling too bleh at the moment.
peace.

It's 3:28 AM.
Why can't I sleep?
I had a ridiculous day of amazingness.
lol, but my body is definitely going to hate me in the morning for not sleeping more.
First I went rock climbing. I concurred 5 walls. Yes that is right, 5 WALLS :D
I kinda see that as an accomplishment.
You think your body would be exhausted.
That actually turned out to be the easiest part of the day. lol
I then celebrated a Hindu ceremony called Garba. There was also Dandiya (stick dancing)
Take a look of an example:

I have a feeling......
I feel like posting a blog today.
I just feel like I finally accomplished something SCHOOL-BASED for the first time this year (Day 10)
I read 40 pages of my textbook, which i NEVER do, especially in one sitting.
I feel like I want to be more prepared for exam time this year, and not have to bank on chapter summaries to save my ass like the past 2 years.
I feel too chilled out. Is that good? or bad?
THIS JUST FOUND OUT TODAY. Justine Henin (former #1 women's player in tennis) is returning BACK to tennis next year for the Australian Open.
I feel like Justine Henin is going to win a major next year.
I feel Clijsters will win one as well.
Serena will be shut out next year.
I feel like Tiger Woods is also NOT going to win a major next year.
I feel like actually finish reading The Kite Runner, I always hear good things about it.
I feel like this year is going by too fast
I feel like I want to play ONE more round of golf this year.
I still feel that "Fire Burnin' on the Dancefloor" is top 3 song in my playlist.
I feel like I should continue some more reading before the night is over.
I feel like this looks cool.
I feel like the next 5 pictures are my favourite pics I took of Europe, 2 years ago.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Croatia

To my friend.
Not sure what i can post about for beards. And you may be reading this, and asking why am I going to write about beards? Well. This weekend i kinda ditched my friend on the subway, so he said I had to dedicate a blog post about his beard, or beards in general. Im not sure.
Websters defines the word beard as: the growth of hair on the face of an adult man, often including a mustache.
Wikipedia explains in its first post of beards as:
A beard is the hair that grows on a person's chin, cheeks, neck, and the area above the upper lip. Typically, only males going through puberty, or post-pubescent males are able to grow beards. However, women with hirsutism may develop a beard. When differentiating between upper and lower facial hair, a beard specifically refers to the facial hair on the lower part of a man's chin (excluding the moustache, which refers to hair above the upper lip and around it). The study of beards is called pogonology
[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beard]
Say what?!?! People study beards? weird.
I'm quite stumped about what to write. So I'm mainly going to post pictures of beards in this post.
My friend's beard is quite unoriginal, however. I think he's been growing it for I want to say 2 weeks? It's pretty ho hum when it comes to beard growing. I mean its not epic like this beard:
Or this:
Or even cool like this one:
Take a look:
What do you think? I'll let my readers be the judge.
I must say, its the most tamed beard i've seen in a while. So I'll give you credit for that.
So Abbas, this post was for you. I did post it, so you cant i never did.

The Game Not really Day 3...but the 3rd day doing this.
So i already failed when it came to posting on my blog every single day. even it was a short post.
Urgh, but like the motto says "Three strikes and then im out"
sooo with that being the case, I give myself a strike. (Im not going to do anything when i reach 3 anyways)
The weekend was good. But I have started my annual stressing about life and time management, which i always have a problem with.
I'm excited for the Jay Leno Show, which starts at 10pm tomorrow at NBC. I prefer him over Conan O'Brian any day. (I just saw the commercial)
This was a big weekend in sports.
Serena Williams totally verbally abused the poor asian chair umpire, after she called a foot fault on the point before match point.
The asian chair umpire had some serious balls tho (not really, shes a girl, and girls do not have balls).
But to call a foot fault, (which by the way, is as rare as seeing someone choke right in front of you and having to give them the hiemlich maneuver)..meaning they NEVER call foot faults.
during the semi-finals match at the US Open, and that the lady she called it on was Serena Williams who probably is the best tennis player in the world, that is down 1 set and a break.. and knowing that a foot fault gives the other player automatic match point. wow.
But to top it off, Serena had to go all verbally abusive to her. check it out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO_jlXjgxN8&feature=related
Hats off to Kim Clijsters tho, This is her 3rd event since her return from having a child. She "retired" for 2 years. Got married. Had a child a year and a half ago. And decided to return to action this August. That's right August. One month ago she was returning to competitive tennis after 2 years of absence. You would think there would be rust, and there was. She was eliminated in her first 2 events relatively early. So she gets a sponsor's wild card, and then . she goes and makes the finals in just about the most important event of the year. just another days work for a mother.
The NFL season also started this weekend.
All the important teams won.
Pittsburgh. Indy. Baltimore. NY Giants. Seattle.
And Carolina [My favourite team] lost to Philly today in a HUGE romp.
38-10 at home. urgh
And NASCAR will start their chase next weekend, after their final race to the chase.
Go Juan Montoya! He was an F1 Champion. Indy 500 Champion. Champ Car Champion.
Just win the NASCAR championship. ok? and show up all these American rednecks.
ok. onto "The Game"
not sure what kind of topic or what i can think of doing right now.
